The Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² fits most of the airline carry-on luggage dimensions. But as the allowed dimensions vary per airline, we invite you to check if the Nomad Plus² fits the carry-on luggage dimensions of your airline prior to your flight.
Can I install the Nomad Plus² rearward facing?
No, the Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² can only be used forward facing.
Can the anti-slip shoulder pads material be painful for child during the summer?
The anti-slip harness pads play an important safety role. It offers high restraint performance by reducing forward facing movement in case of a frontal impact. This material has been selected for these high performance restraint criteria and because it is soft, it is not painful for the child regardless of the temperature in the car. As it is part of the safety of the Nomad Plus², you always need to use the harness of the car seat.
Does the Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² fit any taxi, Uber or rental cars?
The Nomad Plus² easily fits any car thanks to its belt installation and is quick to install (less than 30 secs).
How can I install the Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² in a car?
The Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² has a belt installation in order to fit any car, as you cannot predict which car your taxi or your Uber driver will pick you up with. You need to slide the vehicle belt in the two lap belt slots located under the backrest cover and place the diagonal part in the red lock-off. How can I wash the Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² cover?
The cover, headrest cover and shoulder pads can be removed for washing. Before cleaning, check the label sewn into the different part of the fabric. You will find the wash symbols indicating the method of washing each item. If the cover needs to be replaced at any time, only use official Maxi-Cosi cover because it constitutes an integral part of the restraint performance. To clean the shell, you can use a damp cloth.
How long can I use the Nomad Plus² car seat?
The Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² car seat is designed to suit children from 9 to 18kg (approx. 15 months up to 4 years) and is developed for an intensive use of 12 years after purchase. To ensure the safety of your child(ren) during the lifespan of the car seat, make sure that the product is not damaged (harness or pads lost, etc.).
Is the Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² equipped with ISOFIX connectors?
The Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² is not equipped with ISOFIX connectors as it is built for travel. Thanks to its light weight (4,26 kg), Nomad Plus² is easy to take everywhere. ISOFIX connectors would have added weight, making Nomad Plus² less easy to transport. Even without ISOFIX connectors, Nomad Plus² is very safe to use thanks to its belt installation.
What is the right position/height for the safety harness?
The harness straps should be placed at the level of the shoulders, not coming from above nor below. The headrest should be adjusted in consequence, keeping the harness at the level of the shoulders.
What is the right position for the headrest of my child car seat?
The headrest should be positioned in such a way that in a forward facing position the eyes and ears of the child are located in the middle of the headrest. This means that the child's head can exceed the headrest. In a rearward facing position the head should not exceed the headrest.
Where can I store Maxi-Cosi Nomad Plus² travel bag?
You can store the Nomad Plus² travel bag under the seat. A storage location is created with this purpose. Once folded, you can attach the travel bag to the seat thanks to 4 push buttons installed on the bag. No risk to lose it!
Why does the Maxi Cosi Nomad Plus² have a 5-point safety harness?
All group 1 car seats of Maxi-Cosi have 5 point safety harness with one-pull adjustment. This harness distributes the forces of an impact best over the strong bones of the child and into the seat. Additionally, the 5 point harness allows perfect adjustment of the child and keep him secured in the safest position in the seat.
Is Nomad Plus² an i-Size compliant car seat?
Yes, Nomad Plus² complies with the latest and safest EU R129/03 regulation, meaning it fits all i-Size compliant cars and has passed frontal and side-impact crash tests.
