These Ratings, Reviews & User-Generated Content Terms (“UGC Terms”) apply to the submission, display, and use of ratings, reviews, comments, images, videos, and other content submitted by users on Dorel Juvenile Group websites, including Maxi-Cosi and Bebeconfort websites. 

1. Definitions 

1.1 “Dorel”, “we”, “us” means Dorel Juvenile Group, including its brands Maxi-Cosi and Bebeconfort. 

1.2 “User Content” means any content submitted by users to Dorel, including but not limited to ratings, reviews, comments, text, images, videos, audio, usernames, or other materials. 

2. Submitting User Content 

2.1 By submitting User Content to Dorel, you: 

• Confirm that you are the creator of the User Content or otherwise have all necessary rights and consents to use and submit it to us;
• Confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child shown in the content and consent to the use of their personal data and image.
• Declare that the User Content does not infringe the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks or privacy rights. You agree to indemnify Dorel for any costs or damages arising from such infringement;
• Grant Dorel a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive, and fully sublicensable licence to use, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, translate, distribute, publish, publicly display, publicly perform, create derivative works from, and otherwise make use of such User Content, in whole or in part, in any format or medium now known or later developed;
• Expressly waive any portrait rights within the meaning of Sections 19–20 of the (Dutch) Copyright Act (Auteurswet).  

2.2 By submitting User Content, you agree that Dorel may publish and distribute the User Content through its own digital channels, including its websites and social media accounts. 

Where you have provided your consent, Dorel may also share User Content with selected retail partners and distributors for the purpose of displaying such content on their websites, platforms, and related marketing channels. 

Dorel is not responsible for any unlawful use of User Content by third parties with whom Dorel has no relationship or affiliation. 

3. Personal Data 

3.1 User Content may include personal data. Dorel processes such personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and on the basis of your consent provided at the time of submission. 

3.2 Dorel uses User Content for publication on its websites and for its own marketing and promotional purposes, including use on social media channels, advertising, and other Dorel-controlled media. 

3.3 Where you have provided your consent, Dorel may share User Content, including ratings, reviews, images and videos, with selected retail partners and distributors for the purpose of displaying such content on their websites, platforms, and related marketing channels. 

3.4 Dorel uses Bazaarvoice as a service provider to collect, verify, moderate, and display product ratings and reviews on its behalf. Bazaarvoice processes User Content solely on behalf of Dorel and in accordance with Dorel’s instructions. 

3.5 You may withdraw your consent at any time. Upon withdrawal, Dorel will stop further use of your personal data, subject to applicable legal obligations. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy. 

4. User Content 

4.1 Dorel is under no obligation to publish, retain or use any User Content and may remove or refuse content at its discretion. 

4.2 User Content may not be submitted by individuals under the age of 16 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Dorel reserves the right to remove any User Content that does not comply with this requirement. 

5. Ratings and Reviews 

5.1 Ratings and reviews may be labelled to indicate how they were collected, including: 

• Verified Buyer Reviews – submitted by consumers whose purchase has been verified through Dorel or an authorised retailer;
• Incentivised Reviews – submitted in exchange for an incentive such as entry into a prize draw, or discounts;
• Product Tester Reviews – submitted by consumers who received a product for testing purposes;
• Sneak Peak Reviews – submitted as part of a loyalty or membership programme.  

All reviews are subject to the same moderation standards and are not influenced by sentiment or star rating. 

5.2 Dorel applies a product star rating system. The displayed stars represent a calculated average based on all authenticated reviews, including low or negative ratings. Reviews are not accepted or rejected based on star rating, sentiment, or opinion. 

6. Changes to These Terms 

Dorel may update these UGC Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you submit User Content will apply.
