Until when do I use the newborn inlay?
It is mandatory to use the newborn inlay until your baby is 60 cm. This corresponds with an age of approx. 3 months.
Is the lie-flat recline mandatory?
You decide which position is most suitable for your baby, whether they're sleeping or awake. Babies usually sleep more comfortably in a flat position, while an awake baby often prefers sitting upright. For babies between 40 and 60 cm, we advice using the lie-flat position, as it supports healthier breathing and overall comfort. Coral Slide Pro gives you the flexibility to find the perfect position in every situation; whether you're driving, strolling, carrying.
Can I use Coral Slide Pro in full lie-flat position in the car?
Yes, Coral Slide Pro offers full flexibility, even in the lie-flat position. Whether installed in the car onto the FamilyFix Slide Pro base or with a vehicle belt only, your baby can stay in the optimal lie-flat position — from stroller to car to hands-free carrying.
Can I adjust the position of Coral Slide Pro's carry handle?
Like our other baby car seats, it is possible to switch between rocking mode (carry handle up) and a stable position (carry handle down).
Can I adjust the carry handle position with one hand?
It is a mandatory requirement to use two hands when changing the position of the carry handle. For this reason it's not possible to change the handle with one hand.
What is the easy-in harness?
The 3-point safety harness with easy-in feature makes getting your child in and out of their seat easy. When unbuckling the harness, the shoulder pads spring upwards and stay open to make room for installing your baby.
How tight should I fasten the safety harness system?
To fasten the harness correctly, make sure your child is securely restrained in the car seat. Pull the harness adjuster strap until the harness fits snugly against your child’s body. A properly tightened harness should allow no more than one finger to fit between the strap and your child.
Which car seat base is compatible with Coral Slide Pro?
The FamilyFix Slide Pro base is compatible with Coral Slide Pro, enhancing safety, comfort, and convenience. It features SLIDETECH®2 that allows the seat to slide out up to 27 cm at a wide angle and fits in any car, regardless of wheel arch shape.
How does SLIDETECH®2 work?
SLIDETECH®2 is built into the FamilyFix Slide Pro car seat base, letting you rotate and slide your car seat right out of the car. It slides out up to 27 cm, making it easier than ever to lift your child in and out, no backaches or head bangs.
How do I operate SLIDETECH®2?
Paired with the FamilyFix Slide Pro base, SLIDETECH®2 allows you to easily slide the car seat out of the car by rotating it 90° (facing your child towards you) and pulling the seat toward you - this can even been done with one hand. No additional button is needed to activate the sliding function — up to 27 cm.
Do I always have to use the sliding technology?
Use SLIDETECH®2 whenever you need or want to use it. If preferred, you can also use the one-hand rotation function without sliding. Please note: the sliding technology only works in combination with the FamilyFix Slide Pro base (sold separately).
What's the difference between SLIDETECH® and SLIDETECH®2?

Can I install Coral Slide Pro using just the vehicle belt?
Yes, you can use the Coral Slide Pro without the FamilyFix Slide Pro base. While the base offers maximum convenience and safety, installing the car seat with the vehicle’s seat belt gives you the flexibility to switch between cars. Even with belt installation, you can leave the safety shell in the car and simply carry your baby in the soft carrier.
Can you only use the Coral Slide Pro rearward-facing?
Yes, it is not allowed to travel with an infant car seat forward-facing position. Therefore we added an anti misuse system on the FamilyFix Slide Pro base that prevents installing the Coral Slide Pro forward facing.
What is G-CELL Side Impact Protection?
G-CELL technology is built into the side panels and headrest, absorbing impact forces and redirecting them away from your child. This ensures better protection for your child, especially for their shoulders, head, and neck.
Is Coral Slide Pro airline-approved?
No, Coral Slide Pro is not airline-approved. The airplane seat belt doesn't fit under the soft carrier, preventing safe installation.
I see that the Coral Slide Pro is certified by AGR. What does this mean?
AGR (Aktion Gesunder Rücken) is a trusted German independent association of health care professionals focused on back health and ergonomics. Coral Slide Pro with SLIDETECH®2 is certified by AGR as back-friendly, making car seat installation easier and more comfortable for parents.
What does Eco Care mean?
All our car seats are made with sustainable, 100% recycled Eco Care fabrics. They offer the same soft, breathable quality you expect from Maxi-Cosi while using 75% less energy, 85% less water, and cutting CO2 emissions by 75%. Coral Slide Pro fabrics contain 46 recycled 500 ml rPET bottles.
How can I use the Carry strap?
On the Coral Slide Pro, you'll find three black loops — one at the front and two at the back. You can attach the Carry strap accessory to these loops. The carry strap is adjustable in length to fit your posture.
