Whether you have a newborn or a 12-year-old, enjoy peace of mind. For kids up to 4 years old we recommend travelling in the rearward-facing travel position. Or, if you prefer, switch to a forward-facing position from the age of 15 months. Also count on G-CELL panels to give the best side impact protection in a collision.
Ease of use

When your child is seated in harness mode (up to 4 years/105 cm), the integrated FlexiSpin system lets you rotate the seat 360 degrees with just one hand, even in any reclined position. Having the seat face you makes it easy to get your little one in or out of the car – every buckle-up smooth and hassle-free, every day.
Age range
The big benefit of the Emerald 360 Plus is that it will grow as your youngster grows. Use it from day one right up to the age of 12 – and never need to look for another car seat along the way. The harness and headrest can be adjusted throughout your child’s development, and you can switch from harness to booster mode when your child exceeds 17.5 kg, which is approximately around 4 years old.

How long can I use Emerald 360 Plus?
Emerald 360 Plus is designed to suit children from birth up to 12 years old. To ensure the safety of your child(ren) during the car seat’s lifespan, make sure that the product is not damaged and is correctly adjusted and converted in accordance with the length, age, and needs of your child.
What's the maximum weight my child can be to use the Emerald 360 Plus safely?
In harness mode (up to approx. 4 years old), your child can weigh up to 17.5 kg.
In booster mode (up to approx. 12 years old), the maximum weight is 36 kg.
Can I install the Emerald 360 Plus without the ISOFIX connectors?
For children up to around 4 years old, install the seat using the ISOFIX connectors and support leg when using the built-in harness. As your child grows (from 4 to 12 years old), switch to using the vehicle’s seat belt. Even then, we recommend keeping the ISOFIX and support leg in place for extra stability. Handy colour-coded indicators help you check immediately whether the seat is installed correctly.
What are the 4 different age stages that apply to this car seat?
1. From 0 – 1 year (40 – 75 cm), with Newborn inlay in rearward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed.
2. From 1 – 4 years (61 – 105 cm/17.5 kg), without Newborn inlay in the safest rearward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed.
3. From 15 months – 4 years (76 – 105 cm/17.5 kg) in forward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed.
4. From 4 – 12 years (100 – 150cm), use in the forward-facing position, securing your child with the vehicle belt. The support leg provides added stability when installed or can be neatly stored away if preferred. At this stage, using the vehicle belt, the 360° rotation function is no longer available.
Is the Newborn inlay included with Emerald 360 Plus?
Yes, the Newborn inlay is included. With the Newborn inlay, you can use this product from birth, without needing to buy an extra infant car seat. It is specifically developed to protect your baby from birth (40 cm) up to 75 cm.
How can I use the Newborn inlay?
It is mandatory to use the cocooning Newborn inlay from 40 – 60 cm. From 60 – 75 cm, you can continue to use the inlay for as long as you like until your baby has outgrown it. The Newborn inlay remains in one piece, so there’s no risk of losing parts.
What is the easy-in harness?
Maxi-Cosi’s 5-point safety harness with easy-in feature makes everyday use a breeze.
When you unbuckle the harness, the shoulder pads automatically spring up and stay in place — giving you extra room to comfortably position your baby or toddler in the seat.
When switching to booster mode, the easy-in harness can be neatly stored in the back of the seat, without needing to remove the hip or shoulder pads. That means no loose parts and no risk of losing anything.
How tight should I fasten the safety harness system?
For a safe and secure fit, it’s important to fasten the harness correctly in the Emerald 360 Plus car seat.
Simply pull the harness adjuster strap until the harness sits snugly against your child’s body. A good rule of thumb: if the harness is tight enough, you should only be able to fit one finger between the strap and your child’s chest.
When do I need to switch to the forward-facing position?
At Maxi-Cosi, we recommend keeping your child rearward-facing for as long as possible, up to 4 years old (105 cm/17.5 kg), as research shows this is the safest way to travel.
However, if you prefer, you can switch to forward-facing from 15 months (76 cm).
Once your child weighs more than 17.5 kg, the harness can no longer be used securely. That’s when it’s time to store the harness and start using the vehicle’s seat belt instead.
When using the car seat in booster mode with the vehicle belt, what should I do with the support leg?
When your child is over 100 cm or heavier than 17.5 kg, you can store away the harness and use the vehicle belt in booster mode up to 150 cm.
Keeping the support leg installed during booster mode is optional but highly recommended for added stability and safety.
Should I remove the harness when using the vehicle belt?
There’s no need to remove the harness when switching to booster mode. The easy-in harness can be easily stored in the back of the seat, shoulder pads included. That means no loose parts and no risk of anything getting lost.
When should I store the harness?
The harness can be used up to a maximum weight of 17.5 kg (approx. 4 years) and must be stored away afterwards. The vehicle belt should be used from the age of 4 years onwards or once your child is heavier than 17.5 kg.
Where can I store my harness?
The harness, including the shoulder pads, can be stored behind the cover at the back of the seat. Once stored, you can remove one of the shoulder pads from the harness and attach it to the vehicle belt.

Where can I store the buckle on my Emerald 360 Plus?
The buckle simply lies flat and integrates into the seat for easy storage, while the shoulder pads can be stored in the backrest. Please check the user manual or instruction video for more information.
Can I rotate the Emerald 360 Plus on the base in any position?
Yes, when the car seat is in harness mode — both rearward-facing and forward-facing — you can safely rotate the seat in any position. From fully upright to fully reclined, the rotation remains smooth and secure.
How do I operate the rotation function?
When the seat is in driving position, you can unlock the rotation using the handles on both sides.
In lateral position, there’s no need to touch the handle — you can simply rotate the seat with one hand.
What is G-CELL Side Impact Protection?
G-CELL technology is built into the side panels and headrest, where it absorbs impact forces and redirects them away from your child. This provides enhanced protection — especially for the shoulders, head, and neck.
What does Eco Care mean?
All our car seats are made with sustainable, 100% recycled Eco Care fabrics.
