  Is the Emerald 360 Pro an i-Size car seat?

  Yes, it complies with the latest and safest EU R129/03 regulation, meaning Emerald 360 Pro fits in all i-Size compliant cars.

  Can I install the Emerald 360 Pro without the ISOFIX connectors?

  For children up to approximately 4 years old, the product must be installed using the ISOFIX connectors and support leg, when used with the integrated harness. For children aged 4 years up to 12 years old, the car seat belt needs to be used. Even then, we recommend continuing to use the ISOFIX connectors for increased stability. Colour-coded indicators make it clear whether the seat is correctly installed or not.

  What makes Emerald 360 Pro unique?

  Emerald 360 Pro is the only all-ages car seat (40 – 150 cm), carrying your child from birth up to 12 years old, that features our revolutionary SLIDETECH® technology. It has a fixed base that has rotating and sliding functionality, so you can effortlessly rotate and slide your baby and toddler towards you. Lifting your child in and out of the car has never been more comfortable thanks to SLIDETECH®.

  What is a Group 0/1/2/3 car seat?

  Group 0/1/2/3 car seats are designed to suit children from birth (40 cm) up to 12 years old (150 cm).

  What is the maximum allowed child weight for the Emerald 360 Pro?

  The maximum allowed child weight is 17 kg for harness mode and 36 kg for booster mode.

  How long can I use Emerald 360 Pro?

  Emerald 360 Pro is designed to suit children from birth up to 12 years old. To ensure the safety of your child(ren) during the car seat’s lifespan, make sure that the product is not damaged and is correctly adjusted and converted in accordance with the length, age, and needs of your child.

  What are the 4 different age stages that apply to this car seat?

  1. From 0 – 1 year (40 – 75 cm), with Newborn inlay in rearward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed. 2. From 1 – 4 years (up to 105 cm/17 kg), without Newborn inlay in rearward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed. 3. From 15 months – 4 years (76 – 105 cm/17 kg) in forward-facing position, using the integrated harness and support leg installed. 4. From 4 – 12 years (100 – 150cm) in forward-facing position, using the car seat belt. It is highly recommended to keep the support leg installed for added stability and safety.

  Is the Newborn inlay included with Emerald 360 Pro?

  Yes, the Newborn inlay is included. With the Newborn inlay, you can use this product from birth, without needing to buy an extra infant car seat. It is specifically developed to protect your baby from birth (40 cm) up to 75 cm.

  How can I use the Newborn inlay?

  The cocooning Newborn inlay must be used from 40 – 60 cm. From 60 – 75 cm, you can continue to use the inlay for as long as you like until your baby has outgrown it. The Newborn inlay remains in one piece, so there’s no risk of losing parts.

  When do I need to switch to the forward-facing position?

  You can switch to the forward-facing position from 15 months/76 cm. At Maxi-Cosi, we recommend travelling with your child in the rearward-facing position for as long as possible (up to 4 years/105 cm/17 kg), as research shows this is the safest way of travelling with children. If your child weighs over 17 kg, use the forward-facing position with the car seat belt and keep the support leg installed for added stability and safety.

  When using the car seat in booster mode with the car seat belt, what should I do with the support leg?

  When your child is over 100 cm or heavier than 17 kg, you can store away the harness and use the car seat belt in booster mode up to 150 cm. Keeping the support leg installed during booster mode is optional but highly recommended for added stability and safety.

  Should I remove the harness for Group 2/3 use?

  There is no need to remove the harness entirely. When switching from harness to booster mode, the easy-in harness can be easily stored in the back of the car seat, without the need to remove the hip and shoulder pads. There’s no risk of losing separate parts.

  When should I store the harness?

  The harness can be used up to a maximum weight of 17 kg (approx. 4 years) and must be stored away afterwards. The car seat belt should be used from the age of 4 years onwards or when your child is heavier than 17 kg.

  Where can I store my harness?

  The harness, including the hip and shoulder pads, can be stored away behind the cover at the back of the seat. You can then remove one of the shoulder pads from the harness and attach it to the car seat belt. Please check the user manual or instruction video for more information.

  Where can I store the buckle on my Emerald 360 Pro?

  The buckle simply lies flat and integrates into the seat for easy storage, while the hip and shoulder pads can be stored in the backrest. Please check the user manual or instruction video for more information.

  Can I rotate the Emerald 360 Pro on the base in any position?

  Yes, when the car seat is in harness mode (rearward-facing and forward-facing), you can easily and safely rotate the seat in any position, from fully upright to fully reclined.

  How do I operate the rotation function?

  When the seat is in driving position, you can unlock the rotation with the handles on both sides. When the seat is in lateral position, you can simply rotate the seat with one hand without touching the handle.

  What makes SLIDETECH® so unique?

  Emerald 360 Pro features SLIDETECH®, an advanced sliding car seat technology that slides out of the car. This revolutionary technology allows a more comfortable child installation in the car, as it creates more space for parents allowing them to stand up straight when getting their child in and out of the car.

  Do I always have to use SLIDETECH®?

  The base with SLIDETECH® is fixed to the seat, but you can use the sliding function whenever you want to use it, as long as your child is using the car seat in seated harness mode.

  How does SLIDETECH® work?

  SLIDETECH® is the sliding car seat technology that the Emerald 360 Pro features. The bottom part of the base is attached by ISOFIX to the car, the rotating part physically moves out of the car. This makes it quicker and easier for parents to lift their children in and out of their car seats, without straining their backs or bumping their heads.

  How do I operate SLIDETECH®?

  The Emerald 360 Pro can easily slide out of the car by rotating the car 90 degrees (facing the child towards you) and pulling the car seat towards you. No additional button operation is needed to activate the sliding function. You can choose to hold the handle in the centre with one hand or grasp both sides with two hands, whichever feels best for you.

  What is G-CELL Side Impact Protection?

  G-CELL is our side impact protection system. An integrated safety system that is always activated and spreads the force of the impact over the entire structure of the car seat in the event of a side impact. Users do not have to perform any additional action to install or activate the functionality, preventing it from being used incorrectly and preventing it from interfering with the interior of the car or other passengers.

  How does G-CELL Side Impact Protection work?

  The structure of G-CELL technology is built into various parts of the car seat, including the side panels and headrest. The technology provides your child's car seat with secure coverage for side impact protection in 3 steps: 1. The precisely designed panels in the headrest and side panels divert G-forces. 2. The high-quality materials used in our car seats absorb the force of the impact in the event of a collision. 3. The specially designed geometry puts your child's head in the safest zone of the headrest and provides maximum protection.

  What is the easy-in harness?

  Maxi-Cosi's 5-point safety harness with easy-in feature makes getting your child in and out of the seat easy. You will notice that when you unbuckle the harness, the shoulder pads will spring upwards and stay up to make room for installing your baby and toddler. When switching from harness to booster mode, the easy-in harness can be stored in the back of the car seat, without the need to remove the hip and shoulder pads. No risk of losing separate parts.

  How tight should I fasten the safety harness system?

  To fasten the harness correctly, it is key to restrain the child well in the Emerald 360 Pro car seat. You need to pull the harness adjuster strap until the harness is close to the child's body. If the harness is tight enough, you should only be able to pass 1 finger between your child's body and the harness strap.

  What does Eco Care mean?

  All our car seats are made with sustainable, 100% recycled Eco Care fabrics. You will get the same soft, comfortable, breathable properties you would expect from Maxi-Cosi, without compromising on quality and sustainability. The entire production process of our Eco Care fabrics uses 75% less energy, 85% less water and emits 75% less CO2. The fabrics of each Emerald 360 Pro contain 70 recycled rPet bottles (500 ml).

  What do I do if my Maxi-Cosi product needs to be repaired?

  If your Maxi-Cosi product fails due to a manufacturing or workmanship defect, we will either send you a replacement part or make a repair free of charge under our 24-month warranty or Lifetime Warranty. This also covers the cost of shipping. If the product cannot be repaired, or if the cost of repairing the item exceeds the cost of a new one, it will be replaced by another Maxi-Cosi of the same model and colour.

   

  If that is not available, it will be replaced by the closest model and available colour. If you made your purchase from a Maxi-Cosi authorized dealer, please take the item back to them to arrange for it to be repaired or replaced free of charge. If you bought it via this website, please get in touch with our customer care team. You’ll need your original purchase receipt and your Lifetime Warranty card if you are claiming under our Lifetime Warranty. If you are claiming under our 24-month warranty, you’ll need your original purchase receipt. Please note that repairs do not extend the warranty.

  What if I need a repair that is not covered under warranty?

  Repairs not covered under warranty include any damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidental damage, malicious damage, negligence, or if you do not follow the guidance set out in the user manual. If you bought the item second-hand you are also unable to claim under warranty.

   

  We’re committed to reducing waste and we want you to enjoy your Maxi-Cosi product for as long as possible. That’s why we offer a repairs service for all our customers. We keep repair costs as low as possible, but prices will vary due to the cost of the materials and the length of time it takes to do the repair. Repair rates can be obtained via your retailer or from our customer care team here. If the repair exceeds the standard rate you will be notified and asked for your authorization before we’ll proceed. We also sell spare parts, including replacement seat covers, which can help you to enjoy using your Maxi-Cosi product for as long as possible.

  How do I send my Maxi-Cosi in for repair?

  It’s easy to send your Maxi-Cosi for a repair. If you bought it from an authorized dealer, take it back to them. If you bought it via this website, please get in touch with our customer care team.. Remember, if you are claiming the repair under our 24-month warranty, you’ll need to show proof of purchase. If you are claiming it under our Lifetime Warranty, you’ll need proof of purchase and your Lifetime Warranty card, which was sent to you after registration.   How long will my repair take?

  We understand that life without your Maxi-Cosi product could be challenging for you and your family. That’s why we do our best to make repairs as quickly as possible. Our typical turnaround time is 2-3 business days, not including:

   

  • Special order parts, which require 7-10 business days.
  • Transit time, which may vary, depending on the destination.

  In some cases, we can get the repair back to you sooner. In rare cases, it may take longer. If you have returned your Maxi-Cosi product to your retailer for the repair, turnaround times may be longer.

  When you buy a Maxi-Cosi product from our website or your Maxi-Cosi authorized dealer you can be confident that it will reach you in excellent condition. If not, we’ll put it right straight away.

  We promise that if a Maxi-Cosi product ever fails due to a manufacturing defect or workmanship, it will be repaired or replaced without charge, or a spare part will be sent to you.

  What is covered under warranty?

  Our standard warranty covers any manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manuals.

  What is not covered by the warranty?

  Items not covered under warranty include any damage caused by normal wear and tear, accidental damage, malicious damage, negligence, or if you do not follow the guidance set out in the user manual.

  Examples of normal wear and tear include:

  • Wheels that have worn down through regular use.
  • The natural fading of colours over extended time and use.
  • Damage to the material as a result or daily use, such as rips, burns, holes, or worn patches.

  As part of our commitment to sustainability, we aim to help you extend the lifecycle of your Maxi-Cosi. So if your Maxi-Cosi product is damaged as a result of normal wear and tear or an accident, you can take advantage of our value for money repair service. We also sell spare parts, including replacement seat covers, to help your Maxi-Cosi product continue to be enjoyed for longer.
