Is Topaz S an i-Size car seat?
Yes, it fully meets the EU R129/04 safety standards – it fits any ISOFIX-equipped car, is compatible with all i-Size seating positions, and has been proven safe in both front- and side-impact crashes. Topaz S is built for safer, easier travel.
Can I install Topaz S in a rearward-facing position?
No, the Topaz S can only be used in a forward-facing position.
Can I install Topaz S without the ISOFIX anchors?
For child car seats that are used from the age of 3.5 up to 12 years, we recommend ISOFIX installation combined with the car’s seat belt, as this makes the seat more stable. Installation with the seat belt only is also an option.
Can I install the car seat in the front passenger seat?
Yes, baby and toddler car seats can be installed in the front passenger seat, as long as there is no frontal airbag. Alternatively, the frontal airbag can be disabled. For car seats for larger children (15 months up to 12 years), we advise positioning the passenger seat as far back as possible when there’s an airbag present.
How long can I use Topaz S car seat?
Topaz S is designed for children aged approximately 3.5 up to 12 years old (100 – 150 cm), so more than eight years.
When do I have to switch from a Group 0+/1 baby/toddler seat (up to 105 cm/4 years) to a Group 2/3 booster seat (from 100 cm/3.5 years)?
For the safety of your child, we advise you to use a baby/toddler car seat (group 0+/1) for as long as possible. Switch to a booster seat (group 2/3) when your child has reached the maximum weight limit or when their shoulders touch the headrest in its highest position. As long as their head is fully supported by the car seat, we advise you not to switch. This will ensure the best protection for your child.
Is Topaz S adjustable in height?
Yes, the headrest can be adjusted to one of 10 different heights. This is measured on the inside, from the seat up to the top of the headrest.
What is the maximum child height of Topaz S?
We advise using Topaz S from 100 up to 150 cm (approx. 3.5 – 12 years). The headrest is adjustable and grows with your child.
Can I fold Topaz S?
Yes, Topaz S is foldable, making it easy to store. It folds down to a package of the following dimensions: 45x60x28 cm.
How do I fold Topaz S?
At the bottom of the seat, you’ll find a light grey handle that you can use to fold the seat.
I dropped my car seat on the floor. Do I need to replace it now?
No, this is not necessary unless you drop the car seat from a great height. When a car seat drops from a low height, this is not comparable to a (serious) crash, and it will not have to be replaced. If you have any doubts, please reach out to our consumer care team.
