No, the RodiFix Pro i-Size can only be used in a forward-facing position.
Can I install the RodiFix Pro i-Size without the ISOFIX anchorages?
For toddler car seats (up to the age of 4 with the harness/group 1), the product must be installed using ISOFIX anchorages and the top-tether. From the age of 4 to 12 with the car seatbelt (group 2/3), the ISOFIX anchorages are optional. We recommend that the ISOFIX installation method is used, as this makes the seat more stable. For example, when driving on a roundabout, the seat and the child will stay in place and not move.
How long can I use the RodiFix Pro i-Size car seat?
The RodiFix Pro i-Size is designed for children of approximately 3.5 years to 12 years (or between 100 and 150cm), so more than 8 years! To ensure the safety of your child(ren) during the entire lifespan of the car seat, make sure that the product is not damaged.
Is the RodiFix Pro i-Size adjustable in width?
Yes, the RodiFix Pro i-Size is easily adjustable in width from 44cm to 51cm by pushing the 2 side wings outwards.
How much can the RodiFix Pro i-Size recline?
The RodiFix Pro i-Size has 3 relaxing recline positions, so your child will always be cosy & comfy on the move. The recline angle is from 8-16 degrees.
How do I recline the car seat?
In the front centre of the seat you can find an open space to put your hand and just pull the seat to the front to your chosen recline. This can only be done without a child in the seat.
What is the function of the AirProtect® cushions?
The AirProtect® Safety cushions are not only protective, they are soft too and provide cushioning for little sleepyheads.
What is the maximum height of a child using the RodiFix Pro i-Size?
Our advice is a usage from 100-150cm or from approximately 3.5 up to 12 years. The headrest is adjustable by 10 steps from 52.5-72.5 cm (measured inside from seat to the top of the headrest)
Can I replace or blow up the AirProtect® cushions?
The AirProtect® cushions are developed with shock absorbing foam in a perforated air pillow. Because of the perforation, they cannot blow up. The air cushions cannot be replaced, as they are integrated in the head rest of the car seat.
I dropped my car seat on the floor. Do I need to replace it now?
No, this is not necessary unless you dropped the car seat from a large height. When a car seat drops from a small height, this is not comparable with a (serious) crash and it will not have to be replaced. If you have any doubts, please reach out to our consumer care team.
When do I have to switch from a toddler seat (up to 105cm/4 year/group 1) to a belted booster (from 100cm/3.5 year/group 2/3) car seat?
For the safety of your child we advise to use a toddler car seat (group 1) as long as possible. Switch to a belted booster (group 2/3) car seat when your child has reached the maximum height or their shoulders touch the headrest in the highest position. As long as the head is fully supported by the car seat, we advise not to switch. This will ensure the best protection of your child.
Do 3 car seats fit in the back of my car?
The width of the RodiFix Pro i-Size is only 44cm, it is a very compact car seat and is width adjustable to fit bigger children. Whether 3 seats fit in your car depends on the type of car you have. In most large cars, 3 car seats can fit next to each other. We advise to bring your car to your nursery store for the best advise which car seat(s) fit in your car. It is important that each seats is correctly installed.
Can I install a car seat in the front passenger seat?
Baby and toddler car seats can be installed in the front passenger seat, as long as there is no frontal airbag or it can be disabled, however, we do not recommend this where possible. For car seats for larger children (15 months until 12 years) we advise that the passenger seat is in its furthest back position when an airbag is present.
Is it safe to use a second hand car seat?
We advise not to use a second hand car seat. The history of a second hand car seat is always unclear. You don't know how the seat has been used and if it was involved in an accident. Car seats that have been in an accident cannot guarantee safety in the future. The car seat can also be damaged in another way, visible or invisible. Do you want to use a second hand car seat? Please ensure that you use a car seat from which you know the history, for example from family or friends.
Why do I need a car seat?
The use of an approved car seat is a legal requirement for children in Europe that are smaller than 1.35m. Some countries even use a minimum height of 1.5m.
What does the 'i-Size regulation' add to belted booster (group 2/3) car seats?
i-Size is the latest and strictest safety regulation for car seats. For belted booster car seats (Group 2/3), it means: – Reinforced side protection: the i-Size protocol requires stricter homologation and more transparency – Use of Q-dummies with more sensors for the crash tests to better simulate the reactions of a real child – Length classification (in cm) – Universal fitting thanks to specific dimensions fitting all i-Size vehicles
Do children taller than 1.35m need to sit in a car seat?
In most European countries they don't, but there are some exceptions. Please make sure you always check and adhere with local regulations. Always ensure that your children wear a seat belt, whether with or without a car seat.
