Does it work with the older model base (familyfix)??

4

Seems like a good seat but baby not quite here yet. We bought a new pebble plus and a friend gave us their pre used family fix base which is compatible with the pebble car seat so I assumed it could also be used with the pebble plus. However I can't seem to get the seat secured to the base. It seems to be the bit of black plastic in the middle of the front metal rail under the seat that is preventing it from locking in. Does anybody know if the two should be compatible or if you have the pebble plus then you also need the newer base as well??

Excellent Car seat

4

Perfect car seat for my baby that we have had since birth. Lots of reviews saying the child doesn't like it when they are put in. I found this but it's mainly down to it being cold. Remember babies really don't like cold things! Other then that it feels very secure around baby which would help massively in case of a accident knowing he won't be thrown around. Overall perfect car seat.

My baby hates her car seat!

3

Hello, my baby is currently 4 months old and she cried the minute she enters the car seat! Even with the newborn insert she was crying and now without it, the crying hasn't stopped! It's been months now and it's driving me crazy! She will cry as soon as she sits in the seat and she tries to sit up- I'm not sure if she's just not a fan of the angle!? I'm not sure why she hates it but she does and I'm not sure what to do now as we've tried everything to help her in the car!

Feels secure & well built

4

Well built and feels secure Easy to attach to isofix base It is very heavy and my baby is only 5.5kg atm so not looking forward to lugging it around as he grows (but his safety is most important) Easy to attach to my pram ... is there a weight in which to remove the baby insert or just a 60cm height?

Great car seat

5

We have chosen this car seat especially for safety reasons as we travel a lot in car for our son, he loves his car seat, he is 6 months old in two days and travelled well over 3000 miles in it, without any probles. When people say, their child doesnt like, how do they know, have they tried a different car seat, to me its a bit silly to say, as some babies/children just dont like the feeling of being strapped in without being able to move much(unfortunately thats the way it is in car for safety), and who can blame them. Yes the car seat is on the heavy side especially now, when our little one weighs about 8,8kg but i think safety first. We will be looking for the next one up soon, hope it be as good as this one 👍🏻🤞🏻

Flopping around

2

My son is 8months old now in the pebble plus and his head is flopping about. It looks extremely dangerous and very annoyed as they said it's fine until he is 1year. He is only 8kg so he is not too big for it. Can you help with this as it's an expensive seat to not let 1whe ur

Very happy with pebble plus

5

My 7 month old is very happy in his pebble plus. The infant insert was great to keep him cosy when he was smaller and easy to remove to keep him comfortable as he got bigger (I removed this around 3 months) and helpful that the straps could be raised up also as my son is in the 90th percentile for his height. Really easy to use with the isofix base and feels very safe and secure. We had a period of a few weeks where he got very upset in the car (around 4 months) where I did wonder if it was the seat but I think this was just him going through a fussy phase and not wanting to be restrained anywhere as he's been absolutely fine ever since. The seat is slightly on the heavy side vs. some other seats but we chose this one because it seemed a good balance of comfort and safety and very happy with the choice

It's a nightmare every time we go anywhere

2

My little one is coming up 3 months and from day one has hated going into his car seat. I'm hoping this improves with age as I've got a long way to go. He squirms and cries every time. The only advantage is as soon as I start driving he falls asleep but when we stop and attach the car seat to the pram he hates it so I know I've got a really limited time till I have to get him out. The car seat is also very heavy compared to friends who have other brands. Also in the winter the fabric head covering isn't enough to protect against the elements. I like that it's easy to pull down but if you're forced to park quite far away from where you want to be my little one gets soaked. Compared to other mums with different brands it's not my baby being awkward, I genuinely think it's a bad design.

Hoping it is all still safe!

3

Our little one is 6 months and we have loved our pebble plus and 2way base until recently he is beginning to get quite cross every time I squidge him into the seat, we were advised that all the while his head was below the top of the seat it is the safest place for him, he is still within the height boundaries but is somewhat stocky and has started to hate it. we have started to look at the 2way pearl to try and resolve this but reluctant to move up too soon! Our next problem, also a recent one, the straps are getting stuck! We either cannot tighten them once he is in or pull them loose enough to reach the buckle, our little one often has to be taken out again and hubby has to flip the seat and pull the straps around at the back! When baby is already cheesed off he's been put in it once we have pull him about even more it is really very inconvenient! Similarly with the 2way base sometimes the seat doesn't click in because the clips somehow close when the seat is not on the base. We are hoping that it is still safe to use since things get stuck tight and closed! This is all a great shame as it has been perfect up until the last month or 2.

Not comfortable for baby

2

Our baby boy is now 4 months old and really not liking the pebble plus car seat. He is a very active little one and does not like being restrained in theccarcseat. It seems like he can hardly move his body when placed in the seat. Removing the infant set did not help either. Even though I can see the protection this seat has to offer i think you need to consider the space and the movement constriction that comes with it. The isofix base is great but with a crying ba y in the car you forget the benefit of that. Plus the seat is quite heavy to carry around.
