How can I install the Maxi-Cosi Rubi XP sturdy in my car?
Please follow the red marking on the product, then tension the car belt before locking the top central belt lock. Read the user manual of the Maxi-Cosi Rubi carefully prior to installation to ensure correct fit in your car and see the installation video available on the product page of this website
When can my child switch from an infant seat to the Maxi-Cosi Rubi XP?
Make sure your baby’s head is generously protected by the (top of the) car seat. Your baby has outgrown his baby car seat when the top of his ears extend past the top of the car seat shell. Do not switch to the Rubi until this time and keep you baby rearward facing for as long as possible in order to protect the fragile neck and head. Note: It is not a problem if the child’s legs extend beyond the edge of the seat.
The belts are not the same length. Why is this?
Uneven belts may be caused by the incorrect guiding of the harness system. Check at the back of the car seat that the belts are not twisted and that the pull belt (that runs forward at the bottom of the shell) is in the middle of the system. Also check that the belt can move easily to and fro through the shoulder openings. For smooth movement, the belt buckle should be flapped forward completely. This belt buckle operates by releasing the belt tensioner. If the problem continues after you have checked this, consult your retailer.
